Description 

I used these very cool chunky brushed silver beads as the inspiration for this piece and LOVE the way it turned out..Somehow the necklace still manages to look delicate and elegant on the neck

The Pendant :  I first tumbled,  hand polished the STARGREY PENDANT, to give it a bright shiny finish and then I placed a single  swarovski crystal in the center of the starfish
The solid sterling pendant measures 1.75 " from the top of the curlique attatchment to it's bottom and has a 3mm depth and is 1" wide. 

Charms : Attached to the curved spacer and hanging on either side of the pendant  is a sterling wrapped sparkly bicone swarovski crystal and a detailed  little oxidized sterling starfish charm

Chain:  The beaded chain measures just under 18" and is comprised of chunky brushed silver rock shaped beads, champagne freshwater pearls, citrine faceted rondells, bali silver spacers and a Thai Hilltribe silver hand carved curved spacer on which the pendant and charms hang. I used a simple silver toggle closure to finish this lovely piece.

ABOUT THE PENDANT:
I have long admired the work of Artist Cathy Hoynes of www.greyhoundstudies.com and I absolutely loved working with her on this project. Kathy seemed to 'get it' imediately when I asked her to come up with a greyhound drawing that incorporated a starfish somewhere in the image.

Kathy really outdid herself with the breathtaking image she presented to me, which we have now dubbed 'STARGREY'.
With no revisions neccesary, I imediately had the image cast in sterling silver and suspended in a slightly twisted sterling oval and topped with a substantial curlique bail.

I am thrilled to introduce this original artwork keepsake Greyhound pendant with it's elegant swirling S shape head and neck and curly starfish anchoring the base.
