I'm thrilled to introduce my new ANTIQUITY series

Each one of the silver greyhound images is individually molded, carved, sanded, fired, re-sanded, buffed, tumbled, oxidized and finally hand polished from .999 pure silver before being mounted on semi precious stones.

The Pendant : For this necklace, I made a mold from a vintage Greyhound button, then recreated it in fine silver hand carving, finishing and polishing to a shine then carefully mounted it to a dainty ocean colored rare Larimar sterling set stone. Measuring  40mm (top of bail)x20mm

The Necklace: For this delicate 2 strand necklace, I used a combination of stunning faceted roundel shaped larimar, tiny aqua marine, ocean pacific swarovski bi-cone beads, plus to give the necklace an extra little something, I added  four of the cutest little sparkly CZ set stars. This necklace sits beautifully on the neck and compliments almost any neck line and is 16" in length.

The Closure: A sterling silver, easy to close Bali style silver hook and loop closure

 WHAT IS THE GREYHOUND STARFISH CONNECTION?

Those familiar with greyhound adoption may also be aware of the starfish poem and how it relates to the mindset of those who adopt these elegant, gorgeous, deserving, hounds.
My inspiration for these jewelry pieces stems from my personal identification with the poem.

The Starfish Poem

As I walked along the seashore
This young boy greeted me.
He was tossing stranded starfish
Back to the deep blue sea.
I said, "Tell me why you bother,
Why you waste your time this way.
There's a million stranded starfish
Does it matter, anyway?"

And he said, "It matters to this one.
It deserves a chance to grow.
It matters to this one.
I can't save them all I know.
But it matters to this one,
I'll return it to the sea.

And it matters to me."
